Wedding Time Capsule
A case for being a hoarder
Ask anyone that knows me and they will say I keep way too much stuff. You can't classify me as a hoarder so much though, because everything has a purpose and I DO throw away stuff, swear! Add in a touch (okay, a lot) of a sentimental side and there's a lot of boxes around here that hold memories. And I mean a lot of boxes. Which has my husband like:
So, if you are like him and tend to not keep everythi... <cough> I mean, memories, I have to make the case to you at at least keep a time capsule for your wedding. It doesn't have to be some big fancy thing you bury and open in 10 years time (although you have my full permission to do just that ((just make sure the box can sustain being buried!))), just some mementoes that help you relive your day.
But, if it leaves you rolling your eyes and thinking to yourself - "that's just one more to-do on my list, no way Jose!" - just pick a few ideas from the handy list below and I promise, you'll thank yourself in a few years time. Because if there is anything I've learned about large life events, it's that they are gone in the blink of an eye and all you have left in the end is the memories, ya' know what I mean?
Bonus! The graphic is available for download as a phone wallpaper, so it's the perfect size to add into your camera roll and refer back to. You can also find a printable copy here too:
All you really need to get started is a cool box (or who knows, maybe you could win one from my giveaway 😉)! It doesn't matter what it looks like, just something you like (but again, if you want to bury it, please make sure it can withstand that!). I do recommend having it be at least 6x9 inches though, so your invitation suite can fit into it without bending. Some of the favorites I ran across on Amazon are linked below:
The possibilities are truly endless and can even be incorporated as your card box on the big day! Let me know what you put in your time capsule, kay?
