Dear Couple,

COVID planning got you down?

I see you. I feel you. I know you are feeling overwhelmed. Excited. Disappointed. Stuck on the edge of decisions There is so much change we’ve experienced in the last year and how can you plan when everything changes so quickly? Side note - can you believe it’s almost been a year since COVID took over our corner of the world? A year of loss, grief, and bad change. But I pray that there was also abundance, joy, and good change in your year too.

It wasn’t that long ago I was planning my own wedding. Like, 7 months not that long ago. I know the fears, the what-if’s, the rock and hard place you find yourself stuck in. Wondering how to move forward when it could mean starting all over again four weeks from now. And I just want to say, you got this. You will be able to look back one day and say, “that was the best day ever”. Getting there may take a reduced guest list, postponing even longer, having a wedding after you’ve gotten married, and/or any other combination of variations you chose. But you got this.

COVID stopped the world but it opened up the possibilities of being no wrong answer. Why not have just vows and a cake. Or have only 5 or 10 or 20 of your nearest and dearest. Or only have it on Zoom. Or not at all. Heck, have it on the side of the road. If this time does not warrant that kind of flexible, I don’t know what time will. Find your vendors, your tribe, and your groove, because – you got this.

Sincerely,

Your Local Wedding Planner
